Sales is a funny thing. People tend to put it in a negative light — that is, until they want or need something.
Think about it: When you go to a restaurant, you don’t want your waiter to hound you every five seconds, repeatedly asking if you’re ready to order. But, when you are ready, you can’t wait for him to get back to your table!
Really good waiters are some of the best salespeople around. They don’t just take your order; they make recommendations, answer questions, and guide you through the menu to help maximize your dining experience.
As an example, my wife and I traveled from Greeley to Florida a few years ago and visited an upscale seafood restaurant near our hotel. It was one of the most expensive meals we’ve ever had, and we still talk about how incredible it was… but not because the food was out of this world. It was fine. But we remember that evening because our waiter was amazing.
He answered our questions, guided us through the menu, and was friendly through and through — a truly great salesman. My wife and I wanted to buy dinner, but what we really wanted was an enjoyable evening together, and that’s exactly what our waiter helped us achieve.
People think that a salesman is someone who talks you into buying something you don’t want. That, unfortunately, is the mark of a bad salesman.
But good salespeople? They help you navigate your options, make decisions, and achieve the best possible outcome.
As a realtor, helping you reach your home buying or selling goals is what I’m all about. So, although the last couple of years have been a struggle in terms of prices and interest rates, I’m doing everything I can to reduce costs while maintaining top-notch marketing and communication.
My promise to you is that I will always be the best salesman I can be. Whether you’re buying or selling here in Greeley, you deserve it.
